sim car games will always be a better experience on a wheel. if on a budget try and pick up a 2nd hand cheap wheel.logitech DFGT on ebay go for 40-60 quid. surprising how good they are for the money. i broke my wheel on the first dirt rally doing a world record. crossed the line no longer worked . tried the xbox pad after for a hr and 1st sector was 3-4 seconds behind. so just gave up brought another wheel. some people are very quick though with keyboards/joypads. with enough practice most things can be achieved. this does have sim handling though like Dirt rally so realistically you will need to practice to play it.
they have said yesterday that they wont have it at launch but they are looking into how many want it. if enough want it . then it will probably happen. just like Dirt rally 1. it wasnt in that at launch either.came later.
I enjoy Dirt Rally but it is over rated. It has too much CodeMasters casual dna to be a serious rally game: stages far too short, lack of rally stages and events, car setup menus very simplified, average physics: actually hard to properly slide on gravel, braking distances too short, weather has zero effect on grip, tarmac physics is abysmal
Nearly 7min worth of bonnet cam footage from one of the Argentina stages :
Edit - Stage starts at 19min 40secs in.
Looks like it'll be as hard as nails to get a clean & fast run, but it should be satisfying to complete it without planting the car into one of the many pointy rocks around the track.
DiRT Rally 2.0 Trailer-
Codemasters has released the latest trailer for DiRT Rally 2.0. Word is: " the Alpine Renault A110 1600 S rallying through New Zealand represents the best of the 1960s, while the Ford Escort Mk II takes centre stage in Australia to showcase what the 1970s had to offer. The Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 racing through the tarmac streets of Spain epitomises the Group B power of the 1980s, and New England provides the perfect autumnal backdrop for Colin McRae’s SUBARU Impreza 1995." The official game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, DiRT Rally 2.0 will launch on February 26th.
WRC 2019-The season kicks off in Monte Carlo in January24-27>Rally Sweden February 14-17, will help to get us into the right mindset for Dirt Rally2.0.
The FIA has announced a 14-round World Rally Championship calendar for the 2019 season.
The schedule was confirmed at Friday's meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, which took place in Paris.
As revealed by Autosport, Japan has lost the slot it held on WRC Promoter's draft calendar, with Corsica now confirmed in its place.
But the 2019 WRC season will feature a new round next season, with an event in Chile occurring in May a fortnight after the round in Argentina.
Japan and Kenya will both run candidate rallies in 2018 with an eye to WRC inclusion in '20.
WRC Promoter's Oliver Ciesla confirmed that the series is looking to spread further outside Europe in the future.
"We pursue a strategy to further globalise the championship by incorporating more events outside Europe," he said.
"Turkey successfully brought a WRC footprint back to the Asian continent and Chile will prove an equally worthy addition to the 2019 calendar.
