Hello,

PC Spec is

i7 980X CPU (6 core)
2x GTX 480 in sli
windows 7 64 bit
SSD (128 gig crucial)

I installed this on my pc a couple of days ago, and tried the benchmark inbuilt. got 140 frames AVG, and 103 Minimum.

However, when i decided to have a game, and run the rally event in "COCKPIT" view mode (or any event in cockpit mode), the frames go from 103FPS to
**45FPS** at various points, and everything goes fast, then slows down. This DOESNT happen in Bonnet view or the others - in which the frame rate is a constant 100+.

SO, I disabled SLI, and the frames were overall LOWER (52 FRAMES @2560x1440 res), ***BUT*** the frames stayed at this "52". Anyone know what this can be, as I want to run in my Native Resolution on my DELL U2711 (2560z1440), and at this res, ***NON-SLI*** gives me constant frames, BUT they are about 50 FPS wheras in "SLI" this "WOULD be about 100 frames if i got no slowdowns (happens in GRID too if of any interest)

*Unigine/Vantage scores are fine (39k in vantage at stock GFX card settings)

seems odd in grid does it happen in cockpit mode to?

on Grid i noticed slowdown in cockpit mode on my 280GTX SLI currently using latest official drivers

Yea does seem odd.

It just about "hacks-it" in single card mode (50 frames@2560x1440), but pity i can't use both cards to the full effect.

EDIT: one thing i will add is that i'm running them in 16x/8x pci-e mode not 16/16 (i have a sound card sandwiched between them you see..)

True g702. wating on this new Rally game "WRC 2/3" or something is it called?.

I solved it somewhat. If i turn the mirrors "down" it makes no difference, if i turn them **OFF** problem solved. Constant 100 frames no matter were in the game. So my SLI doesn't like mirrors (even though i downloaded my drivers from a "mirror") I suppose its a small sacrifice - especially in this game. Also in in menu game frames are very low (45 in sli - 70 in single GFX mode)

..talking of drivers, well, thats the other option that solves it as well. Drivers in the cockpit that is. Turning it down has no effect (or is it affect?) but turning it off solves the problem. so its all about cockpit - mirrors and steeering. I'll disable the mirrors for now though. other setting are on max, and theyre staying there till my new build next week ~>Dg<~

Have you tried removing the soundcard and trying 16/16 just to see if this fixes the problem?
