Hey guys,
I just installed a new SSD into my computer and put a clean install of Windows 7 on it.
Previously on my main boot drive I had my Steam games installed, I moved these to my storage 1tb HDD before installing the SSD, using the delete everything apart from the SteamApps folder.
I also upgraded my monitor to a 24" 1920x1080 monitor at the same time.
I used to get an average of 50fps with ultra settings @ 1680x1050 resolution, now I'm getting an average of 20fps, with a minimum of 16fps!
The PC spec is,
i7 920D0 @ 3.8ghz
Gigabyte EX58 UD3R
6gb OCZ Tri-Channel ram
ATI 5850 Graphics Card @ 850 / 1100 (10.11 Drivers)
120gb OCZ Vertex
500gb HDD (blank) 1tb with all documents and media on as well as Steam games
Any ideas as to why the FPS is so low?
