Whanever I play Dirt for more than about 1 race, the game crashes and I get an error message saying

"This disc is unreadable.
1. Clean the disc with a soft cloth.
2. Restart the console.
For more help go to www.xbox.com/support."

Obviously, I've tried this a few times and it never works. The only way I can play the game again is if I leave the console off for a while then go back to it. 1 race, then it happens again....

So, the disc looks fine, the console seems to work on everything else (it's only about 2 months old, after my previous one died...) so, any ideas what the problem might be? Do I just need to send the game back, or is my console on it's way out? My guarantee runs out v soon.....

Might just be the game. Same thing happens with GoW on my lass' 360. All other games are fine. She took the 360 back and got a new one regardless :D
 
Just tried GOW but it works without a hitch (except I lost all my saved games when I got the new 360 :( ), must just be Dirt that's crocked - anyone else had similar problems?

Mind you, I don't fancy sending it back - days without Dirt? Not sure if I can handle it ;)
 
Nope cant say im having any problems with Dirt other than it being a pretty rubbish game tbh.

Yes it does have a replay mode, where you can watch yourself going around the track etc.
 
Mine won't play at all now. Glad to hear someone else is having similar problems, I did wonder if it would need an Xbox update to get it working, but maybe it was just a dodgy batch of discs.

There is a replay mode, but you can't save them unfortunately. Not something I'd usually do, but after a 360 forward flip in one of the trucks, I felt like posting it on youtube, one of the funniest crashes I've ever managed.

I've e-mailed the e-tailer to get a replacement, I'll just have to live without it for a few days...
 
Happens with forza for me lol.. and dirty alittle.. and other games also... got to love this 360 :p
