Hi everyone. I was wondering how I would go about disabling a core on an x6800 C2D? I need to kick of some long running calcs, 10 days+ @ 24 hours. I need to benchmark the system for maximum performance before I do this. If anyone knows how I may get just one core running I'd appreciate a heads up. Thanks.

I can do it in my BIOS for my C1D. Check your BIOS for an option to disable a core.

I just had a look, I'm running Abit AW9D-Max, and its a pretty comprehensive BIOS. But, unfortunately, no sign of this capability.

I'm able to run single-threaded tests which dominate one core, but I'm concerned about an idle core, and my application requires multi-threading for efficiency. To be honest I suspect that two cores would dominate, but it would be nice to have some deterministic tests with 1 v 2. Thanks.
