How does one disable the phone/bluetooth on the Audi concert stereo? Whenever I get into the car, turn on the ignition, there's a delay before a beeping noise followed by PHONE coming up on the display. I've went through the menu etc and can't find an option. There's a nokia bluetooth kit which was installed by the previous owner which I'm assuming is causing it, I just didn't fancy pulling the stereo unit out just to remove it - easier option? :)

Thanks in advance.

if the A3 is anything like the Golf then the Nokia phone module will be under the drivers seat.

EDIT: just realised you were talking about the Bluetooth module lol, this is probably behind the stereo :p

You mean you want to disable the built-in bluetooth in favour of using the aftermarket kit? Not sure whether you can actually turn it off but then, if no phone connects to it, there shouldn't be any delays or noises at all.

Is this an 8P? The bluetooth module will be under the passenger seat.

I know one of the Nokia bluetooth modules didn't really have a visual interface as such, it's quite popular amongst Golf owners. I wonder if it's this that's installed and that there was a phone connected which wasn't unpaired before the car was sold? Would the Bluetooth module still be looking for the old phone on start-up?

The built-in bluetooth will only connect to a paired handset. If no paired phones are within range, it shouldn't do anything. No pauses, no sounds, nothing.

Sounds like the car has a Nokia CK7W installed which will beep if no phone is connected.

The control box is hidden in the dash somewhere. You need to unplug it.
