Disable Internet Access

Is it possible to disable internet access on my media centre pc which is running vista ultimate but still keep it connected to the lan so I can access videos stored on my file server?

Manually set it an ip in network properties and leave the gateway and dns server blank. That way it will be sat on the LAN but not know where to look to go on the net.

View status>properties>ip version 4>properties then manually set them

Most routers have the option to disable internet access based on IP/MAC address.
