Does it? Like hell it does! Is anyone here using it, and, if yes, how have you gotten it working? It's annoying me to the point that my intestines are winding themselves up in a knot! It's also annoying me that the same cursor speed (set through Windows) is slow in one game and fast in another and I have to readjust each game individually, but that's another matter...

That's news to me, why do you need a registry hack to disable it - doesn't simply putting "acceleration" to "None" turn it off properly?

I'm not looking to completely get rid of it, only to get the "disable in games" feature working.

Are you sure it's just not the game itself, I mean if I play Counterstrike then I play BF2 then the mouse feels completely different.

Issue sounds similar to Logitech driver problem and game detection. On my mx700 sometimes it doesnt dissable acceleration or enable side button mapping.

Must be it... I've got an MX700 myself, and I do have side-button mapping issues. So what do I do? Uninstall the Logitech drivers and use WinXP's built-in ones?

You can do that, at least speeds will always be consistant then, just need to set sensitivity in game. I did try to persever withit for a very long time flipping back to desktop and launchine the logitech advanced settings .exe, applying and flip back to game. sometimes took a few goes to fix but usualy did the trick. I eventually gave up and baught a Razer mouse and havent had such an issue since. I know new logitech mice use setpoint now, but I didnt want to take a chance on the newer drivers which they didnt see fit to allow the mx700 series mice to use. That decision pushed me away from logitech mice.

Theres also this driver set that may be worth a look at .

@MadMatty, heh you did a sneaky edit there, I hadn't seen the logigamer link when I first saw your post! :p I've already installed it and I'll try configuring it later - I always wanted to map the thumb buttons in Guild Wars which this will hopefully let me do! Demonscript seems like a handy tool but this one's perfectly suited for the job so I'll give it a go first.
btw MadMatty, we can only have 4 lines of text in our sigs in here unfortunately, so best fix yours before a mod sees it! ;)
