disable/remove pre-installed optane module

Hi, just looking for some advice as I am about to buy the Gigabyte Gaming 7 motherboard however I think it says it comes with a built in optane module, was wondering if I could just replace it with an SSD straight out of the box or do I have to boot into the BIOS and disable optane?

It's just attached to top m.2 slot

Thanks, is it just as simple as removing it and replacing with the SSD?

believe so, but board does have 2 other m.2 slots. can use optane to speed up any HDD you may have
