Disabling Autosync completely

Hi Folks I would like to disable auto sync completely on my iPod touch and use SharePod instead to manage my music and videos. If I disable auto sync through iTunes does it remember the setting on the iPod?

In other words if I connect it to a mates PC running iTunes will it remember not to auto sync with his library so I can just use SharePod (which will reside on and run from the iPod).

I can confirm that the touch does not store these settings they are stored in itunes.

If you connect to your mates itunes and it's set up to autosync it will autosync
