Disabling driver signing in Vista x64.

Hey guys, just ordered my self a new Razer DB 3G, and realised I need to do the USB hack to get the polling rate to 1000hz, but read that Vista needs to be in "test" mode. I'm wondering if theres any problems caused by this or will vista be fine?

It'll be fine, but supposedly less secure (that was the whole point of driver signing, right). However, you may quickly get tired of having to manually boot it into test mode every time.

Supposeingly DSEO keeps it in test mode?

I use ReadyDriverPlus to make my Win7 always boot up automatically without driver signing. Works with vista as well.

I need it for my PS3 pad drivers.

Nope, none at all. I've been running without any driver signing for a few weeks now.

It's better in fact. No problems with unsigned drivers and I can install them in a flash.

Cool, but remember, Microsoft must have disabled it for a reason.

I'd recommend you read up on why they did this and not just take my word for it.

You'll be vulnerable to rootkits.

It's a pretty dumb thing to disable really... it's like disabling your car's airbag.

The only reason it is disableable at all is for driver developers.
