disabling spread spectrum settings

Just flicking through a couple of i7 clcking guides and was wondering do people still disable theese settings, ie cpu spread spectrum and pcie spread spectrum?

Yeah, I read they modulate the bus frequencies to avoid a build up of EMI, so leaving them on can cause instability on an overclocked machine.

Thanks reflux, done a bit more googling and it does seem to be the case that its best to turn theese off.
