Does anybody know whether disabling the IGPU on a 2500k would lower temps and or volts?

If so, how do you disable it in the bios? If the above would indeed be the case then surely we could potentially get more from our cpu in the way of overclocking due to lower temps and vcore.

Great thanks, got there no probs BUT!!....I saw it says have enabled to enable lucid virtu. so my question now is does the lucid virtu work on the asus p8z68 deluxe board as it doesn't have any on board i/o ports.

On the asus product page it says:

Lucid Virtu can work in D-mode (with the main connection made through the discrete graphics card, but preserving access to the onboard graphics core) for tasks like Intel Quick Sync, though I don't think you get much in the way of power savings (which you could if the board supported i mode)

Thanks, guess i'll leave it enabled then. ;)
