Disappering Haddrives...

About two weeks ago i had 3 Hitachi 1TB drives installed, and i seem to be having problems with all of my drives, i also have a 500G and 640G ones.

My desktop tends to freeze on me every now and again, when i open up the desktop and fiddle with the wires it comes back on again after i reboot it. Also, i have discovered that one side of the sata power lead is broken, would this affect the power flow to the drive, and affect my desktop.

If you have a loose connection, and you wiggle it about you make it worse very quickly. Don't wiggle it about. You probably need to replace the loose connection, hopefully its just the cable but if you've been pulling the lead around it may be the connection on the drive itself
