Disappointment

So yeah i actually bothered to do the last bit of gta4 this afternoon and as the title suggests i feel a little disapointed, and i dont 100% know why. I liked the story line a lot, most the missions wernt too bad and it was one of the better games iv play this year...

Anyway anyone got any other games they've gotten to the end of and just felt like it wasnt quite right???

My other ones include Half life 1 (yeah something about yeah were GOING to make another didnt really make me feel too good), Shadow of Memories (i spent ages getting the odd ending and still didnt really feel like i had done much) and of course the day i beat the elite 4 on pokemon yellow (what else was there to do...)

Only recent one i can think of was COD4, it only felt like i was halfway through the game and the bloody thing ends on me.

Mass Effect, just so utterly short with what was imo very boring side missions. Still a good game though.

Usually I only buy a game if I like it, and only finish a story-based game if it keeps me interested, so can't think of any game I have felt disappointed with.

Actually, on second thought maybe I was a bit disappointed with Halo 3, just seemed like a bit of an anti-climax at the end.

yep, GTA4 disappointed me big time. but i was never that happy with it throughout the whole game. Unlike San andreas where i loved every second. I even enjoyed Saints Row more.

Mass Effect was disappointing me with the awful moon missions, but the ending made up for it.

You ever played Halo 2? I thought my disc was literally broken when I saw the 'ending' to that.

Crysis and Halo 2 really. Half Life 2 I forgave.

Cliff hangers are difficult things to achieve, the key is to put enough content in the actual game. Half life 2 achieved this, it had a beginning, middle and end which left players feeling satisfied and then chucked in that evil cliffhanger for effect.

Games like Halo 2 and crysis just felt unfinished, they ended in what i would class as the 'middle' bit and completely lacked an ending. Shameful way to construct a storyline imo, its the sort of stuff i used to do in my primary school English classes.

Great games (except Ep1), crap endings.

Too Human and Crysis recently - they both just end and leave you wondering where the rest of the game is.
