Disaster! Crysis MP beta isn't working for me :(

Ok, spec in sig. I installed the game, logged in. Am able to change options etc but when i load a map it gets to 8% and then either freezes (i have to ctrl alt del out) or crashes to desktop saying cryengine 2 has stopped working.

This is using Vista 64. I downloaded what i believe to be the latest nvidia betas (163.69). It was doing the same thing on my previous drivers though. Any thoughts???

The beta doesn't support Vista as far as I know. Best dual booting with XP again for now.

probably better to post on the beta forums...

plenty of people can still run it on vista.. including me (although it goes through patches of jerkiness)

downloaded it but it told me the update didn't apply to my system so i guess i must have already acquired it. Will try looking at the beta forums later. Anyone got a link?

thanks..If all else fails i may install it on my (totally empty!) xp partition.

Yeah i had jerkyness till i installed this now works fine at 1680x1050 maxed out!!

Works fine here on Vista 64, the performance isn't exactly outstanding but I managed a couple of games last night.

What he said, it's far more important you post this in the beta forums since we're supposed to be reporting things like this directly to the dev team. Go to http://www.forumplanet.com/crysisbeta and check your original email from Fileplanet for the password.

Tried running in Dx10 mode?

Go to the Games menu on the Start menu, Right Click the Crysis MP Beta and select Run in Dx10 mode. Even though there is not Dx10, it can help some people in Vista apparently. Should give a speed boost to most people too.
