So last night I spill a full cup of coke all over my pc, not good....amazingly after cleaning it up with a towel and hair dryer everything works !:)

Anybody else done this?

Just to let you know, if coke went onto any components, you will have left a sticky residue and you're better off disassembling everything and cleaning with PCB cleaner before using again.

The sugar and acids in the coke will damage the PCB in the end so unless you did a fantastic job of cleaning up (complete strip down + IPA) then expect the worst.

Yes but with a glass of water.. for me it went directly into the top case fan which then sprayed everything with water.

Turned PC off, dried everything out, and all worked fine.

My PSU blew up yesterday so in a fit of basement dweller rage at the prospect of a weekend unable to play WoW, I doused my computer in Mountain Dew and cheetos. It's now totally ****ed.

E: just in case an OcUK employee reads this, I did not actually do the above - please don't stop my RMA going through!

Ya, I am sure that is why his KB is sticky. Well if it works ok, but I would actually clean it good.

I spilt 97% hydrochloric acid on my hand whilst trying to unblock the shower.

No injury!
