Disc boot failure after hiper psu breakdown...

MY hiper 580w psu broke yesterday so i've sent it off. Just installed a temporary 400w psu and the computer has come on but now reads DISC BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISC AND PRESS ENTER. What do i do now?!?!? What system disc? Cheers

You normally get that message when the harddrive has gone, blew up, system disc is the Operating system you have installed on that harddisc e.g. Windows XP, Windows Vista.

it could be another reason but i have gotten disc boot failure on 2 of my hardrives in the past and had to take them back and get new ones.

I assume there isn't a floppy disk in the floppy disk - that's if you have 1 installed.

How many hard drives do you have installed, if more then 1 then make sure that the OS is trying to boot up off the correct disk. If you only have 1 hard drive then insert the OS disk, boot up off it and do a repair and see if that fixes the problem.
 
check your bios hasnt reset.... if it has change your boot priority to the hdd that you are using
