Hello Guys

I have an old Sony Xplod XR CA630X head unit and its starting to bite the dust.
Its done me well considering it was for free second hand, but now i need to decide on a new head unit.

However i still have a 6 disc changer in the boot which is also a Sony Xplod model as it came with the head unit.

Will this changer work if i get a new sony SINGLE DISC head unit? (haven't decided on a particular model yet).

It isn't totally necessary for it to stay, but it would be cool to have the choice to be able to choose the changer as an extra source.

Thanks,
Ox

I don't know, but I recently got a headunit with a USB port meaning I can have access to all my music, I'd recommend this rather than being limited to 6 cd's.

You should be fine with a single disc head unit, as long as it's got the connection for the CD changer.

My car came with a Kenwood CD changer, which was handy as my existing headunit plugged straight into it, works perfectly :)

Yea i will be getting a head unit with usb and ipod connections, but i just thought the benefit of having the extra 6 cds plus being able to use single cds would be cool.

Hopefully the connections on the back are there.

But i might wait to put an amp and subwoofer in as my dad has some spare. :)
