Not having much luck at the moment!

I noticed a brown/yellow patch on the TV last night when this advert came on:

It's a Hisense TV, 4 years and 9 months old, so JUST within the 5 year warranty from Currys; spoke to them this morning, provided a video etc. they've confirmed it is still within warranty, and they're collecting it tomorrow, advising it will be back next Wednesday.

I'm guessing this is likely to be a new screen job, this wouldn't be caused by faulty electronics would it? Chances of them still being able to source parts seem unlikely, and the TV is discontinued, so unless they have old stock somewhere, I'm not filled with confidence that they'll be able to repair or replace it - especially within a week!

What's the most likely outcome?
  • Replacement with an equivalent spec. current model?
  • Replacement with an equivalent value current model?
  • Voucher for the purchase price?
  • Voucher for the "current" value - reduced based on the lifespan (the TV also came with a 10 year burn- in warranty direct from Hisense, so would this be a good argument that it would be expected to last 10 years, so 50% would be a fair offer)?

Looks like one of the leds is burning out or has discoloured its lens. Knowing that these things are held together by a lot of tape, hopes and dreams, Id dare say theyll replace the unit hopefully with current like for like spec wise.
I returned an LG a couple of years ago, fix took longer than they stated so gave us vouchers instead but only as they didnt have an exact same spec unit so I added cash and got a G series OLED.
