Discord/Razer mouse issue...

So... I have a Razer Viper Ultimate mouse. The button layout is that the thumb button closest to me is 'mouse 4', and the thumb button furthest from me is 'mouse 3'.

Windows recognises them as Mouse 3 and Mouse 4 respectively, no problem.

In Discord, Mouse 4 is set as PTT. In Discord keybinds it shows that Discord recognises a difference between 'mouse 3' and 'mouse 4' no problem.

However, whether I press 'mouse 3' or 'mouse 4', Discord treats them both as PTT. Not the end of the world, granted, but in PUBG 'map' is set to 'mouse 3', and every time I look at the map it activates PTT.

It's driving me nuts. Any ideas??

Don't suppose you have Push to Talk priority set on one, and Push to Talk set on the other accidentally?

No, sadly not that simple. Haven't got PTT priority set at all.

Doing a quick google, it seems like this is a bit of a known issue with Discord unfortunately. It seems to suggest they incorporated a fix for it some time back, but it may be they have accidentally broken it again. Maybe worth logging a ticket with Discord.

Sorry for the inconvenience on the other hand regarding your keybind control using your Razer mouse.

I just got a word regarding this issue from the team that they released a fix on the Public Test Build client. Would you mind giving it a shot if it works for you? You can download that here: https://discordapp.com/api/download/ptb?platform=win

If that didn't work, could you try the Canary version instead? Here's a link for that: https://discordapp.com/api/download/canary?platform=win

I sadly do not have an ETA on when the fix will be officially released on the stable build but I'll let you know asap once I get an update!

Ha, nice! I just got this mouse the other day. Previously had the G Pro wireless but the double click issue with it plagued 3 of them so gave up RMA'ing. Good to know regarding Discord as I normally use alt but that's also for ingame items.

It’s an awesome mouse. How are you finding it?

Battery life is really good too. Plus, with a motherboard that has always on USB power (probably anything from the last few years??) it means that as long as I remember to dock the mouse after use at least one time in a few days, it’s always good to go!

I'm really liking it, the battery is similar to the G Pro at this point, but I really like the dock, I've not charged since I bought and charged it the first night. I like the RGB on the bottom to indicate a rough battery level. It's currently orange so it will need to be charged soon. The ONLY thing I don't like, is it doesn't launch the profiles until the software is opened and also the mouse is a bit slower to 'activate' from sleep than the G Pro.
