Discos, what the hell have you done!!

Was looking for a pack a crisps and realized we have a 12 pack of discos in. Now I havnt had discos for AGES so decided to have a pack of salt and vinegar and cheese and onion.

Now I always remember how everytime I had a pack of discos , the flavors used to blow my head off and I would run round the room with sheer glee whilst my tongue melted with the powdered cheese and onion like stuff.

Now I was expecting to do the same, but noooooooooooooooo!

WHERES THE FLAVOR NOW?!?!?!!?!?!?!? I mean they are still nice but nothing special...

Maybe you had a bad bag, it's like doritos.. sometimes they rip you off with a bag that was obviously on the top of the 'dorito' pile as it's got no flavour!
 
NEVER buy multipack bags. They sit on the shelf for like 6 months and go bad. High turnover shops are the best place to buy crisps.

You can count pickled onion monster much amongst the fallen too, there was a time when they would contort your face with their overt vinegary sourness, now they are just a shadow of their former self :(

Ahh yes the strength of the legendary MM Pickled Onion kept me warm in the playground on many a winter's lunchtime.
 
I love S&V discos, especially when you lick the flavour off them and the sudden rush of vinegar makes you shake and cringe. Thats like having an orgasm in the snack world. >__>

Those days have long gone my friend. I was literally making love to my packet today to try and get the same effect , but to no avail... :(

Have you not tried the new (old) monster munch? I've only tried beef and the flamin hot ones but they are much more like the old ones were, bigger pieces, more flavour and the original packets. :)
 
Yeah, and they take the artifical flavourings and colours from everything. Hey, I liked them like that.. bring it back! And having something a dull colour just makes you think it'll taste weird, and normally you convince yourself of that.
 
i've not tried a pack in years, but i know the feeling you mean

will get some the next time i see a pack and report back

my saliva glands are working overtime just thinking about the saltiness
 
Does anyone remember space raiders, the pickled onion ones?

sometimes you would get just balls of pickled onion flaviouring in the bottom of the bag. Was like taking a double vodka shot at school. Those were the days..
