Indeed. Hard to imagine any sensible person in the know buying one of these now, just before the 1070 and Polaris drop. Crazy.
 
yeah, i'm waiting for the 480. Had a sneaky look and was thoroughly disappointed with the discounts. The die shrink means we should see some pretty decent across the board improvements unlike the much smaller tweaking we have been getting the last few years.
 
Well it still makes a lot more sense than buying a 970 or 980. Until the 1070 is released with it's phenomenal value (because nVidia are always nice like that) these look awesome and seem just as competitive as any other current solution.

I do however find it astonishing how much prices have recovered since the 290X's were ~£210 about two years ago.

Still *damn* solid DX12 cards! £300 for a 390X is great value imo, and will probably be up there with a 980Ti in performance once DX12 games start to hit thick and fast in 12-18 months :cool:
