Hi All

I have just built a system for my parents. All is fine except that I am unable to get a display when booting with a discrete 4890. Works fine with the onboard but only once the discrete card is removed.

The card was working fine in another computer yesterday so presume I am missing a setting to disable discrete on the Asus Z77 V-Deluxe???

Hopefully someone can offer a suggestion or two :)

Many thanks

ASUS Z77 V-Deluxe
2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Arctic White
Corsair HX650 PSU
3770K (OC'd to 4.2Ghz)
Gelid Tranquillo Cooler
128GB M4 SSD
3TB HDD
2x500GB HDDs (old)
Blu Ray Writer

PSU should be fine for single GPU?

I've since found the option to select iGPU or PCI but still without success. The BIOS seems to set itself back to Auto on its own.

I've also tried different leads and sockets on the PSU.

Very frustrating...

I've tried using HDMI with the same results.

I will give the other lane a go, although it will only be 8x I believe...

I have also updated the BIOS to the latest version and tried disconnecting all surplus hard drives and blu-ray writer - still no joy...

I have access to two spare cards - an 8800GTS and an 8800GTX. Both of which are DVI and I now have a DP / HDMI monitor. :(

I did find an DVI / DP adapter that might work but need to search more for the main DVI cable. Going to wait until tomorrow to have a dig around.

Don't want to risk using my 7950 just in case!
