Discs need doing!...

Just got my Car back from its Service... its a 2002 Civic 1.4 'Vision' with 37,850 on the clock...

I was told that its gonna need its Brakes doing soon... But not just the Pads (they're about 80% worn), Shoes at the Back are fine, but the Front Discs too!!!... On a Car thats done less than 40,000 Miles!?!?!?!?... Hows it possible to ware em down that fast!!!

I've had cars that have done twice to three times the milage on their original discs before!!!...

Anyhew.. I was quoted £225 fitted by Honda (they did the service).. is that resonable or do you think I could get em done cheaper but not 'Cheaper' if you know what I mean!?!?!

If anyone knows anywere in or around the Swindon Area too!!.. That'd be wicked!!

Well I went Mike Alan's this morning... Very Nice Bloke!... really Helpful and friendly

He had a lookie at me Discs, and said they've got about 4-6monts life left in em!! (going on my average milage not the previous owners) and the Pads have probly 3-4 months!...

So it does look like Honda were fishing for work (£225quids worth of work! )...

Got Mike to do me a quote!... which I can come back with anytime, he said it'll probly be a few quid more by the time I need it!... But his quote was £165 fitted!!!...

I should be getting a Bonus in 3-4 Months so I'll get em done then!

Its £38 a disk and £36 for the Pads (Incl VAT)... the rest is Labour!!... I'm a complete mechanical Div!... and its the cheapest quote I've found anywhere near Swindon!... (others range from £175 to £300 )
