Stoke fans are quite special. Not all of them of course, but quite a lot.
I'm glad you added the last point, we aren't all knuckle draggers. Just the vast majority are idiotic. One of the reasons I don't go very often anymore.
I saw this a few days ago, it's quite terrible.
While Ramsey probably shouldn't have addressed them, he was initially booed purely for having his leg broken there and then being upset about it (understandably), which was a disgrace in itself.
This kind of thing doesn't really help Stoke's reputation.
I was at the game, probably around 50% of the fans were booing from all around the ground. There were arguments near to me between people saying they hoped he was ok and others saying they hoped his leg had to be amputated.
One thing that has really made me lose interest in going is the hatred people show. I don't understand it and to be honest when a grown man is shouting at the top of his voice and getting so angry his eyes are popping out of his head, I find it a little depressing and pathetic.
Maybe that's just me though ...
Worse things are done each week at most grounds, this is pretty tame
Oh and ddespite my hatred for Stoke Shawcross's tackle wasn't that bad and pretty Unlucky to break his leg so I found it pretty weird Ramsey refused to speak to him and take his apology
I think that the tackle was worsened by Shawcross getting pulled back, but he had to learn that he couldn't throw himself into tackles the way he was doing. If he hadn't snapped Ramsey's leg, he would have done it to somebody else eventually.
Since the incident, he has improved massively, but I think this sped up his "maturing". He no longer dives into tackles hoping for the best, he times them very well and tries to stay on his feet.
If it wasn't for this incident I think he would have got a move to a bigger team to be honest, I think he is a much better central defender than people give him credit for.
I can understand Ramsey's anger towards him, it was a career threatening injury, but surely by now he should be a big enough man to say, it was in the past, lets move on.
Edit: Does your hatred of Stoke come from our promotion year where we held you to two 0-0 draws where having won both games, would have handed you the title?
Of just the lack of "football" played by Stoke under Tiny Penis?
