Dishwasher and washing machine cleaners - are they worth it?

Are the cleaning products for dishwashers and washing machines any good?

These things here and here.

I do a "service wash" about once a month on the washing machine, but never do anything similar on the dishwasher.

Are the above products any good? fwiw, I use Urnex Cafiza (random link, as Google is fubar) which is incredible at getting rid of old coffee residues on my coffee machine - do the above cleaners work as well on dishwashers/washing machines?

I can vouch for the washing machine ones.

If you use liquid in your machine, a jelly like mouldy pile of junk can build up in the machine. A service wash with the cleaning stuff really helps clear it up.
