Just wondering if this is feasible and whether it's simple enough to do or should I get someone to do it - I have next to no DIY skills.

I want to get a dishwasher installed and there is no space in my kitchen for it other than to remove one of the existing cupboards. The cupboard between the sink and the oven would be the only place it could go.

Measurements are 56 width from cupboard hinge to oven, or 63cm from very corner to oven and 63cm depth from back of cupboard.

You have two problems taking that out
1 The oven will have brackets attached to the upright to the left of it that hold it up.
2 That is a double cabinet so you would have to remove both work tops to get it out and then put some kind of bracing in to hold up the worktop up in the corner.
Very doable but a lot of messing around

You'll just need to butcher what you have. Bear in mind the door opening, so if you go further into the corner you risk fouling the handle of the other door. A slimline will fit no probs but leave you with an odd gap left hand side you need to fill.

Yup, have seen this done. You'll need to create some sort of surround, perhaps from the old door? Obviously there's also no going back once you take a saw to it!

With no DIY skills it's probably going to be a bit of a faff to get it looking nice. In doing so you'll likely gain skills or ruin your kitchen, depends what your thoughts about that are.

Dishwasher will of course need water supply and drain pipe.

We bought a house with a dishwasher in a cupboard. Now we just have a cupboard which is very useful. More so than a dishwasher.
:D

From memory the space the dishwasher fitted was replaced by a standard width cupboard from B and Q.

Thanks for the advice, if I am to get someone in to look at it do you think they'll be able to fit a full size dishwasher in this space?

If not a slimline would suffice, obviously as said there would be a gap but perhaps that can be sorted with a surround to make it look aesthetically pleasing/blend in.

In terms of cost, for getting the space arranged how much should I be looking at, ball park, so I don't get ripped off.

Thanks

You can't break physics - is there a 600mm gap with an 800mm clearance? It looks like a door may foul the handle of your unit to the left in the photo.

If the answer is yes, then you just need a carpenter (or handyman if you are okay with a higher level of butchering).

Could be worth ringing a plumber and see if they know someone who can adjust... lots do bathrooms now so will have some wood working skills.

The panel next to the oven will need to stay. Also wont able to put it right into the corner or you'll have access issues getting the dishwasher in and out. Cost wise, its custom work, its not going to be as cheap as it usually is. It'll be a decent bit of work to get that all looking good and functional, you'll need a plumber, electrician unless you have a plug nearby and a good joiner.

If you get stuck on access, you could put the washer there and then put a dishwasher where the washing machine currently is.
