ghost
paragon Drive Backup 8.0 Personal Edition
Acronis True Image 9.0 Home

i tried ghost 9 and it messed up my computer i could restore image but the comp wouldn't boot .

did you tell ghost to create a MBR (i tihnk you have to, not used it for ages) -when doing the restoring part and choosing the drive to restore to..

i have done a clean install now, looking for the best Disk backup solution now have had enough of ghost can't be doing with that again after the hassle I've had this weekend.

paragon or true image i think which is the better?

I've heard good reports about Acronis

Haven't used it myself though

Acronis True Image Is fantastic i have never had a problem with it and have been using it a lot lately.
