Good day people, i recently left my computer online when i left the house, and when i got back it had hibernated itself, or crashed in the middle of it - basically, nothing i pressed on the keyboard brought it out, and thus i had to turn it off via the power switch..

Now, i've rebooted and windows cant even start as it says "DISK BOOT FAILURE", and that i should insert the system disc, now i have done that, and it doesnt even detect a windows istallation to repair..

Please tell me the only solution isnt reformatting!

edit -- it works if i leave the system disc in and reboot without booting from CD, but if i take it out it goes straight back to disk boot failure, i dont want to have the cd in forever, what can i do? :P

Check your boot order in the BIOS as it may of put another drive/disc as the boot drive.
