Today i decided it was time to clean out my hdd and get round to doing all the little updates etc that i have been meaning to do for ages.
Bios and all driver updates went fine apart from one.
I installed the latest nforce drivers from nvidias site ver 15.08 and windows lost the driver for my hdd and dvd drive. Upon rebooting it reinstalled the devices but they both now show up as a removable storage device!
I now have the "safely remove hardware" icon in the system tray and am able to actually "safely" stop my hdd resulting in a system crash.
Has anyone encountered this before or know of a possible fix? Spec is in sig and im using a 320Gb Samsung Spinpoint and an OEM Samsung DVDRW.
