I just had a quick question about installing an ssd.

I have one with data on, and my computer doesn't recognise it off the bat, so I know I have to go to disk management and run the wizard.

My question is, when you run that wizard, does it wipe the ssd?

Im guessing it doesn't but wanted to double check

If the drive is already formatted then it should be picked up by Windows "as is".

Where did the SSD come from?

It might be helpful if you post an image of the Disk Management screen with the unrecognised SSD installed.
