So over the last two days I've had this pop up a few times. It'll loop like this until I power down and then start it up again.

No hardware changes for months. Boot drive is a samsung 840 SSD I got relatively unused off MM maybe 6 months ago.

Naturally the first thing I did was back everything up in case of a worst case scenario, but I'd like to get to the bottom of it if you guys can help.

I'm in the OS now (no crashes at all once it boots in). chkdsk /r and no errors to fix. Any idea what I can do to track down the culprit?

I'll give that a go and see if the problem persists. I have my image backed up so it wouldn't be the end of the world if it went belly up. I just don't want it to!

Nope, rebooted and got the error again after updating firmware. I have to say that the optimisation tool in the magician utility boosted my benchmark scores dramatically though, so was worth installing!

I'll fiddle with my ram and controller volts (all at stock now) Not sure what port my optical drive is on, but it might be the Marvell controller already since I only relegate the slowest drives to it.

It just surprised me that it happened without any hardware changes. It does look like a hardware issue, but I hope not!
