Hi all,

my eldest turns 6 in october and shes always been a fan of gaming but never had her own game (shes had eyepet but thats not a level based game). she sits watching and makes me read out ni no kuni to her as i play it and shes always playing flash games on the laptop and games on the ipad.

ive looked around and the reviews seem good but im not too sure it will be easy enough for her to play around on.

has anyone picked this up yet or had a play on it?

it may wait for santa but the same will still apply with regards age.

I'd get Skylanders Swap Force when it's out later this year. You could always start off collecting Skylanders now with one of the older games.

My 8 and 5 year old both play it with very little help from me or my girlfriend.

i should have added she is obsessed with disney films, i would be getting the toy story pack (if its out yet) as she still loves it and there is always the chance they will bring out some princess games for it.

ill have a look in Game later today and see what her reaction is to it.

also part of me is looking at the game as i like the look of the build your own world and the potential is has... i dont think it will have the quantity or varity of LBP games but it still looks good fun.

is it wrong for a 28 year old to want this game? ;)

no because im 28, having kids is just a way to justify getting myself it :D

had a look around and £52 for the starter pack in asda seems reasonable, individual characters seem expensive but when you get different levels with some it seems far more for your money.

ill hold off picking it up incase any offers come up before hand but due to the cost my wife is pushing for an xmas present instead of birthday but ill keep trying to change her mind ;)

Its probably one of the biggest problems in that you have to pay another £12-15 on another character to play co-op for each playset, but there is a 3 character pack with an extra for each standard playset.

unfortunatly thats about £25-30 which seems a lot to say you only get coop mode but i think if i was playing with my daughter it would be worth it though... maybe see how the games are first.

the current situation is after seeing adverts she has now asked outright for the game for her birthday but it seems toy story should be out for it by then and if thats done well that would be a set we would want
