Disney Plus - Constant Buffering

I am getting constant buffering with a circle every few minutes when trying to use the Disney Plus app on my Sony XG81 TV.

The app is installed on the TV.

The TV is connected via Wi-Fi to 500mbps Virgin Media with a V3 Hub. TV is on ground floor with hub on first floor of house. Hub is located to provide coverage on ground floor, first floor and loft rooms.

Tried a wired connection between the TV and the VM hub. TV Can't find network.

Any ideas on how to resolve?
 
When you used the wired connection, did you change the network settings to wired from wireless?

Yes. That's when I got the message saying it couldn't find the network.
I've been told in the VM thread in the Network section of the forum to check the date and time of the TV. Off to try that just now.
 
Think there's a loose connection somewhere in the wall box for the wired connection - either at the TV end or the VM Hub end. Will check it out tomorrow.
 
That’s a good call. Wired connections really should just work with minimal, if any, fiddling.

Is it just Disney+ you’ve got issues with? What about iPlayer, Netflix and suchlike?
