Hello all, have any of you been to Disneyland Paris and actually stayed in the Disney hotel?

Was just wondering if it is worth it, or if it is just overated with high prices due to the name?

stay in a hotel in paris and get the train there :) very easy, its what me and the mrs did. Was a really good day!

Not only the hotel(s) but that also applies to the restaurants, whatever you do check the prices first before ordering a meal otherwise you get a heart attack when the present you with the check.

I went there for a few days and it was very expensive, get the cheapest rooms possible, cos lets face it you wont be spending much time there. I also took Eurostar straight into Disneyland (although that wasnt cheap either) it save the hassel of getting a plane if youre not driving.

Good post.

If you have kids get the cheapest room possible as there going to want to get to the park before you have even got there.

Disney hotel is the best but for the amount of time I was in the room it just did not seem worth the extra money. Much better to save money and buy the kids/kid some thing if you have any.

So true, last time I was there it was £4.75 a pint.

The only Bonus of the large Disney Hotels are that they are closer to the park, but there are regular buses going to the village anyway. You can see most of Disneyland Paris in about 3 days.

Well if you are going to drink i recommend going to Planet Hollywood and buying cocktails, yes they are expensive but they are better value than buying a beer. See if you can get the Scottish guy, good barman and know's a lot of cocktails.

If you are feeling a bit flush you could go and see Buffalo Bills Wild West show - Its pretty cool, food and drink is laid on as well. 3 coarse meal chilli con carne followed by a meat medley and for pudding apple crumble. Unlimited drinks although the beer is watered down.

Have to say i liked the Rainforest cafe the most, not for the food (which was reasonable) but the restaurant itself.

Ok, thanks all. Hopefully going try go there the first week of August (yep going to be packed). I will see what deals I can find.

So 2 nights 3 days should be enough to do it all, or do you reckon another day on top of that?

Should be plenty of time, 1 day for each park (although studios isn't that big) and on the third day you can visit your favs bits in both of them.

Disneyland Paris is not huge so - So a few suggestions

1st day for Walt Disney studio's. Make sure you visit the Aerosmith rollercoaster (Rivals Nemesis in my onion), the stunt car show and the studio tram tour (amazing, see if nothing else).

Rest of the day/evening spend in the Village, although its sometimes worth exploring the area around the hotels.

2nd day Main Park - Must see/ride - Space Mountain, Honey I Shrunk the Audience (This is usually one of the first rides to open, so a good place to start), Pirates of the Caribbean (there is also a nice restaurant actually located in the ride), Indianna Jones and the temple of Peril, Big Thunder Mountain, and Phantom Manor are all worth a look. Most days/evenings there is a parade or a firework display.

3rd day usually spent revisiting rides/exploring.

Oh get Fast Pass tickets when ever possible.

3 days 2 nights is probably the best combination.
