display adapter not there in device manager!

I have recently completed a fresh install of xp pro, and it wont recognise my 9800pro i have cleaned all previous drivers and try to reintall but there is nothing in my device manager.

In dxdiag it says unkown for everything and it says the current driver i am using is something called vga.dll???

any ideas?

Make sure that the card is firmly in the AGP slot - and try rebooting - also I would try the card in another computer if possible
