Display Cable?

Do you mean which type? I'm guessing in this order, best to worst:
-Displayport Incl Mini-Displayport
-HDMI Incl Mini-HDMI
-DVI
-VGA
That's the 4 mainstream-ish types, use displayport mostly if possible, otherwise HDMI is great also

HDMI will struggle/not work if your using ultra high res and/or 120+Hz (which DVI can still handle) Display Port is generally the best but DVI/HDMI/DP are more or less the same electrical signal wise just a bit different in what standards are supported.
DP can also struggle a bit (depending on quality of the cable and hardware used) on longer cable lengths - if your trying to connect a 120+Hz panel over a longer distance (over 2 meters) use DVI (or make sure your using a decent quality DP cable).
