need some help with this annoying problem. I have an RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra playing at 4K Max Settings sometimes during gameplay when i go to view the Inventory/Map the Display Driver Crashes.

Ive used DDU twice and Installed the latest NVIDIA drivers checked temperatures ive tried almost everything. I have a good power supply a Seasonic GX-1000w so its not a power problem either in fact i used a Corsair RM850x and had the same problem. I use two seperate PCIe Cables so no Daisy Chaining the card is getting full power.

On a Side Note i do notice the XP Bar in Inventory Menu Flicker. Not sure what thats about either. and no nothings Overclocked

Do you have a frame rate cap or vsync on in the game? I think then map/menus can hit 1000+ FPS there if not limited perhaps straining something on the card. Mine coil whines crazily in those menus...

I play at 4K 60hz so i always keep the Vsync on in my games to prevent screen tearing. the game has built in FPS Limiter ranging from 30-60-Unlimited. So right now i usually play with Vsync on and FPS at 60fps. The problem im having here is when the card clocks down in the Inventory Screen it tends to Crash my NVIDIA Driver. It seems Stable when i put "Preferred Maximum Performance in the NVIDIA Control Panel for Witcher 3 which means the Card will stay at 1755mhz in the Inventory menu instead of going down to 300mhz-500mhz. Its weird its like some sort of Power Issue thats going on that makes the Display Driver Crash when i go into a Menu Screen.

Have you uninstalled the game and reinstalled it?

Yep. the game also has another bug in the Inventory Screen aswell where the XP Bar Flashes and so does other icons in the Inventory. not sure if im allowed to post this video link here but this is another thing that happens aswell.

Some people were saying thats also a common bug in Witcher 3.

Any over/under clock?
Do you have any GPU monitoring tools open?

You could try changing power management mode to prefer maximum performance, which may help smooth out power spikes.

no overclocking or underclocking. all my games work fine with MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner and i also tried with them both closed and the issue still happens. At the moment ive set Preferred Maximum Performance Profile for Witcher 3 in the NVIDIA Control Panel it has seemed to make it stable and not crash as often. But if i go to Alt-Tab out of Witcher 3 while its running in the background and then Alt-Tab back in theres a chance the game would just crash to desktop without any errors.

I did try with a Underclock of -30mhz on the core clock since my 3080 is an XC3 Ultra Model. but after a while it crashed again
