Hi,

I have had issues in the past week or two where only with Overwatch will the game occasionally go black, but I can still hear things are happening. I have to force close the game, and according to event viewer the Nvidia driver has crashed. It happens enough times to be an issue.

I'm at a loss as to what is causing it. I believe I have a sufficient PSU (EVGA SuperNova G2 750W). I tried reinstalling the drivers with DDU. I tried seeing if I could reproduce the problem outside of overwatch by running FurMark and CPU burn test (that ships with it), with no luck.

Any thoughts on what I can try next?

Assuming temps are ok maybe posting your Overwatch settings could shed some light on the issue.

When you ran the stress tests did you leave it running as long as your Overwatch sessions?

Have you tried removing all traces of drivers with DDU, then installing the last stable release driver before the current ones release? Sometimes a slightly older driver may fix issues, this happens to me a LOT during games, it seems as though newer drivers introduce problems but gradually get patched in smaller updates, may be worth skipping the current driver version for now...

Overwatch settings are at maximum, and running at 144Hz. Due to the current heat, the GPU is reaching 77/78C when playing Overwatch.

I ran the stress tests for about 15 mins, and had no issues. Haven't tried this for longer yet.

I have reinstalled drivers with DDU to an older version, which didn't help unfortunately.

I have come across some people saying it could be a PSU issue. Is there a way of verifying this without getting hold of another? I don't have any spares, so I would have to buy another.
