Ok I had this issue before and I thought I solved it with some advice that my CPU might not be stable at it's clock, now this could be a one off, but anyway, I just started to load up BF3 and two youtube videos one to listen to and one to watch when the round finished. then my screen flashed black the youtube videos were green then the screen looked like it have like been squashed like loads of random colours everywhere and the same sound repeating like really quickly. Any ideas what this could be?

I have xfire.
Perhaps disabling one for a while?

or CPU clock still too much. it's at 4.0 using CCC and It's a Phenom II

thanks

Having had a look through a few of your posts, I can see this issue has been like this for a while. I noticed you knocked your CPU down from 4.2 to 4.0 and this helped. I would think maybe knock another 100mhz or 200 off and bring it down to 3.8. try that for awhile and see how that goes. If good go up a little, till no good.

I am not to hot on how ccc works but I know with my mobo, if i get a couple of constant crashes, the BIOS will revert to it's standard BIOS without any OC.

Ok and good luck. If that is not working, then try with 1 card and see if that is stable. I do feel it could be your OC not stable. It could be many issues though, so as you say "Fingers Crossed"

Hmm maybe it might have. I'll put it back on and put it at 3.8 and keep 2 fingers crossed :D

how did you test the overclock?
did you stress test with prime95 or Intel burn test?
if it passed an overnight run of prime95 or around 30 passes on IBT, then it may not be the cpu
