Display for pro design work?

The missus is a semi-pro artist/graphic designer and I'd like to get her a really nice display at some point (probably when she's graduated). She has an old 2nd-hand 17" Trinitron at the moment, which is showing its age a bit.

Firstly, I think she'll need something bigger - at least 19". Then it needs to have excellent colour reproduction, clarity, sharpness, etc, etc. Gaming isn't such an issue, so ultra low response times aren't required. Haven't really got a budget in mind, but don't mind paying as it will last years hopefully! CRT or TFT....whichever is best.

So what are some good "pro" displays worth checking out?

Not really up on monitors but I understand the Eizo range of stuff is supposed to be good for this kinda thing

Thanks - they make some nice stuff by the look of it. Although I think the 22" pro graphics is a bit out of my league at nearly 6,000 bucks

But their slightly lower end stuff also looks good. Thanks for that.

Eizo and Lacie tend to make good screens for image work. Some of the NEC range ar good too.....

If theres no particular need for space, a 22" Mitsubishi CRT would be suited to this if opinions are to be believed

lacie do a 100 series monitor in 19 and 20 in and a 300 series in 19 and 21in

there not cheap but they arnt your bog std tft

Heard good things about lacie blue 22" sets. Not cheap new mind, but there are a lot of places you can pick up second hand sets for under £100 (a certain auction site comes to mind).
