A colleague of mine recently installed a Radeon HD 6770 into his PC as part of a new build. This was roughly 6 months ago and since then has been experiencing intermittant problems.
- Display goes black with grey/white after random lengths of time
- Display will sometimes go black and the machine has to be rebooted
- Happens when playing World of Tanks (I've advised to try another game)
After doing a bit of research it seems that previous series experienced similar issues especially the HD5xxx.
Whats strange is that I can run benchmarks (Heaven/Prime95) for days on end without an issue. The problem only seems to occur randomly every few weeks.
Is it worth RMA'ing the card? Temperatures get to 60 degrees under full load which seems normal so I really don't know what to do next.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers!
