Display Issues

Not really too sure where this should go.

I am having some display issues on my laptop. If I try and view a .chm file the contents in the main page is unreadable(navigation is ok though). Also silverlight applications do not work, e.g. when I use the Sky go player I see the initial screen but then the page go's blank.

Any ideas anyone?
