hi guys.
so i built my new sys using a rtx 2080 which has 3xDP,1xHDMI,1xUSB3.0c.
problem is i have a BenQ xl2411t which relies on dvi-d for 2K 144Hz
OK i should have thought about this,as i may need a new monitor.
I,v tried the OcUK DP1.2 to DVI-D converter but when i enter nVidia control panel and change HZ to anything above 60hz ,even though image is ok monitor giving'wrong cable ,use DVI supplied with monitor' message.
which i cant seem to disable?

Any ideas then for 144hz from a RTX to this monitor then? any help appreciated.
iv done some research and there are these more expensive adaptors,but im not sure they support 144 hz as they all claim dvi-d support but clearly limited HZ options?
