Display lag

So I'm back to my trusty S4 and using Nova launcher. I've noticed that when using a black background on the app drawer, some of the icons that use a dark color 'lag' a little at the edges. It's not a problem with other colours.

Anyone know what this is? I noticed it on my old one too.
