recently setup a file server with an old athlon/xp combo. I went to change the display resolution to get a clearer image, however, this resolution cant be read by my monitor as it states:
"Display cannot display computer input. reduce input to: 1050 X 860 @ 60Hz"
as you can imagine i cant actually see what im doing to reset the servers display options. Anyone know of a reset or how to navigate through to the settings using a keyboard only?
other bits that you may find useful:
its xp home edition
the display resolutions are set by a sliding bar with no seen way to control this via the keyboard
i am using a dell monitor which works fine with my main computer
the reason i need this cleared up is that i only have this monitor to use so the server must access this one monitor for maintainance.
