display port cables

I need a new display port cable,my one that come with monitor has a break in it.I have seen many cables out there an various online e-tailers,do they support high refresh rates and monitors that overclock?

I have acer xb271hu and just want to make sure i lose nothing in picture quality etc..

As far as I'm aware, as long as the cable is rated for your version of DisplayPort (e.g. 1.2) it should do whatever you want, spending more or 'special' cables don't add anything

I have found with my 4K display that you do need to be careful with longer cables if you want to avoid occasional screen blinks.

cheers for advice,found one that suggests It supports 1.2
