i have just purchased a new AOC g2590px monitor and am having some connection issues. On setup i plugged in the supplied display port cable to rear of monitor and into a spare display port on my MSi rtx2060 gaming z card. on powering up the monitor said no signal and went black. tried again with hdmi lead and connected fine! tried again in other display port sockets on my card and at best on 1 get a signal that goes off every few seconds or glitches. if i use both hdmi and display port together windows display manager recognizes both as connected with display port named display 1, hdmi (which is the actual shown display ) as display 2.
am i doing something wrong? if i reconnect with just display port then im back to no signal again. it only seems to work with the hdmi! is the monitor faulty? the cable? or have i done the setup incorrectly?
If hdmi and displayport are used on booting my desktop my nvidia manager recognises it as gsync compatable so it must know its there lol. HELP!!!
