Display Port Extension cable

Hey guys,

Im adding a second monitor to my setup, nothing fancy, but I have to re position my PC, the problem is that the DP cable barely reaches the GPU atm.

Can I use a extension cable for DP, without compromising the connection to my monitor?

You be better buying a longer DP cable

An Extension cable could degrade the signal more due to the extra connections

For the price of an extension cable you might as well just buy another DP cable, they cost about the same.
